A. Clients are required to book and complete a Jumpstart Riding Session before subscribing. This session serves as a skills assessment to determine the rider's level.
B. Following the Jumpstart Riding session, Gilroy Hills Equestrian will categorize the Client into beginner, intermediate, or advanced levels based on a skills assessment. Riders will be automatically grouped together with riders of similar ability and level. This is paramount to our barn culture and philosophy of creating a community that encourages camaraderie, friendship and support. We feel this leads to higher quality riding, lessons, and just plain more fun.
C. Riders will start with a 30 minute private lesson until their instructor recommends they are ready to join an appropriate group lesson.
D. The Client will be presented with three subscription options: Silver, Gold, or Platinum, each delineated by the desired number of lessons per month. Riding lessons within these options may consist of a 30-minute private session, a 45-minute semi-private session for two, or a 1-hour group session for three or more participants. Your subscription amount remains consistent, no matter how many extra days are in the month or if there are closure dates.

C. Gilroy Hills Equestrian will be operating on a quarterly basis, and the initial minimum commitment is 3 months. For example if a student enrolls February 15th- they cannot cancel prior to May 15th. After the initial 3 month minimum commitment, Client will be considered to be enrolled for the entire following quarter if we do not receive notice that you wish to cancel prior to the 1st day of the last month of the quarter.
QUARTER 1 (Q1): Jan-Feb-Mar- is considered Q1. If you do not cancel in writing prior to 11:59pm on February 28th you will be financially committed for all of Q2.QUARTER 2 (Q2): April-May-June is considered Q2. If you do not cancel in writing prior to 11:59pm on May 31st you will be financially committed for all of Q3.QUARTER 3 (Q3): July-Aug-Sep is Q3. If you do not cancel in writing prior to 11:59pm on November 30th you will be financially committed for all of Q1 for the following year.
D. We have incredible expenses and financial commitments to be able to offer this program and we depend on students who can make some commitment, as well as give us plenty of notice if they are quitting so that we have time to pull students in from the waiting list to take their place. There is no reason why a student will not be financially committed for the entire quarter, even if they are unable to make it to classes. Example: A student enrolls July 1st. They immediately get sick and cannot ride for 3 months. They still have to pay for July, August, and September, even though they cannot ride
E. Students must cancel in writing by sending an email to [email protected] for their cancellation to be valid.
The company does not warrant or guarantee any specific level of performance or results. The results of your riding program are largely based on the efforts of the Client.
Please note that instructors do not have time to discuss client goals and concerns during lesson hours. Please schedule a goal setting meeting to make sure there is a good time set aside for these conversations. Client agrees to communicate all scheduling changes or any other concerns about the program either through the barn telephone at 408-807-8903 or email ([email protected])
